People come into therapy because they want to change, or resolve something within themselves and/or their relationships that they cannot work out alone, with friends, colleagues and family.
The timing of that exploration is triggered for some by a crisis - a traumatic event, shock, separation or divorce, a loss in the external world or an internal loss such as illness, motivation, or depression for example. For others the feeling that something isn't quite rights, or that life could be better has gathered enough pace to motivate them towards seeking professional help.
Then of course there is a whole spectrum in-between, but whatever might be true for you, if you are interested in taking that step, finding the right person to work with is the next most important thing.
